Carregando, aguarde...
The Sorcerer's Stone, also known as the Philosopher's Stone, was one of the most magical objects in the Harry Potter series. The red stone had the ability to turn any metal into pure gold. More importantly, it had the power to create the Elixir of Life, a potion that would make someone drinking it immortal.
Highlights
- The stone and the mirror were connected in a sort of magical vortex. Or to put it simply, you can assume that the Stone was put inside the mirror. After passing all the other obstacles, the only way someone could possess the Stone was to stand in front of the mirror.
- This was evidently shown during, and after the fifth book, during, and after his lessons with Snape. Voldemort could have detected, through Quirrell that Harry was lying, and furthermore "delved into his thoughts", and saw that has was thinking about the stone in his pocket.
- Voldemort was the greatest evil wizard of that time who could read your mind unless you knew occlumency. Since Harry didn't know occlumency in the first part, Voldemort was able to know that he had the philosopher's stone in his pocket.
