Carregando, aguarde...
Tala Durith was a human female who served as a captain of the Imperial Army in the Galactic Empire. While on the Outer Rim planet Garel, she participated in the execution of four Force-sensitive families. Having initially joined the Empire to make a positive difference, she was disillusioned by the Empire's cruelty.
Highlights
- Tala isn't a Princess or a Jedi, but an ordinary person willing to put everything on the line — including her life — to do the right thing. In Indira Varma's hands, Tala is also a layered figure.
- How the term "sir" is used throughout Star Wars suggests that it signifies rank without any consideration for gender. In the Star Wars universe, any commanding officer of any background is deserving of recognition and the same common courtesy - even within a dictatorial organization like Star Wars' Empire.
- Leaving through some tunnels that would lead to the spaceport, Leia talked Tala in to leaving to find Obi-Wan and bring him to safety. She found Obi-Wan, who was losing a battle with Vader. After dragging Kenobi through some flames Vader ordered his stormtroopers to bring Kenobi to him.
- Obi-Wan could do nothing but look on as the droid's lights went out, reaffirming he died protecting his beloved owner. Unfortunately, Tala couldn't recover, and knowing she was mortally wounded, she detonated a bomb, blowing up the entire corridor.
